Bought a 2002.5 Coleman Yuma last weekend and the seller is kind enough to bring it to our house since our TV can't "T" yet. (That gets installed next week.) It's all I've been thinking/dreaming about all week!

DW, DD (2.5) & I have been camping in my '66 VW Bus up until now, but the last outing we realized we were gettin' a bit cramped & the wasps/yellowjackets really prevented us from enjoying our outside meals. Found the PUP on craigslist last Sunday, after trolling for about 9 months halfheartedly. I knew my choices would be rather limited with our TV's towing capacity, but up popped (no pun intended!  Wink) the Yuma and now we're in! Here's the photo from the ad:

I have great memories from being a kid and camping in our family PUP in the early 70's, and look forward to creating them for our family.

We're hoping to make a Thanksgiving campout our maiden voyage. I'll let you know how it goes!

Congrats on the NTU PUP and welcome to PUX!

Don't go crazy filling it with stuff.  Before that first trip try camp driveway tonight.  See how things work and sleep etc.  I bet DD will enjoy the new surroundings.

Welcome to PUX.
That ought to give you a bunch more room than the VW.  Happy camping.

Congrats on the new PUP !!!!

We are hoping for a Thanksgiving maiden voyage also. We will hopefully know tomorrow, if Ricks vacation time is approved. As long as not more than one other driver put in for it, we should be good to go.

We have started loading her up. I actually think I will have more space than I know what to do with. What a nice problem to have. Of course, our PUP is huge. LOL

Right on!  Nice looking camper and you're going to love it compared to the Type 2.....although Kombi's are very cool.

You're getting the TV dialed in, and I see you're considering the BAL (excellent choices so far).  The other thing to get is a porta-potti.  Your DD and DW will love you for it.

Have fun!

Here it is, set up in Camp Driveway! Man, can't wait to get out in this...

It's huge in here! (To us anyway...)

The whole thing looks brand new.

Even came with the obligatory green grass carpet...  Grin Trying the stove outside.

About the only thing the PO left in the camper besides a broom & dustpan. I'm not really complaining! No portapotty though.

This is only about 1 of 3 things that I need to fix on the PUP.

We are stoked and getting super excited for our inaugural adventure. Big Smile

Congratulations Paffaropah!  I have the same camper and love it.  (Yours is in better shape than mine right now.  The PO must have really babied that unit) Check out my pics for mods and fixes.
Love the Yuma!

(The other other other thing you are going to want to do is change the fold down stabilizers for crank down ones)

Congrats on that NU2U camper.
Hope it brings you many years of faithful service and camping memories in the future.

Looks like a really nice unit and equipped with a furnace and 3-way fridge.
PO took real good care of it.

 BTW: Welcome to the forum.

Fabulous !!!!

It always warms my heart, when I see anything that is meticulously cared for, since this is how we treat all that we own (you work hard for your stuff, you might as well take care of it).

Before we bought the Avalon, we were looking at both PUP's and boats.............. with the PUP being the first choice. It was incredibly sad, when looking at boats, when someone can spend good money on something, and not take care of it at all. It really scared me as to what the inside of their homes must look like. Boats are really expensive, and to see someone not even bother to cover one, and end up with the upholstery going bad.............. is just pathetic.

Sorry for going off on a tangent. :)

Next to a tent, any PUP is HUGE. I wish you and your family, many happy memories, in your NTU PUP.
