I have a Fleetwood Highlander series pop-up with a 'built in' ceramic toilet using a 9 gallon permanent black water tank.  This is the first year we've used it (lightly, at night, only 'liquids').   For those of you with this setup, what steps do you take before storing for the winter?  Do you keep 'chemicals' in the holding tank?  I've emptied it out and used a hose to rinse/flush the tanks, but I'm wondering if that's all I need to do.  I have run RV antifreeze through the lines so there's a bit of that that ended up in the tank.

Thanks!

Linda

I keep chems in the holding tanks all the time. Since you've winterized and some of the antifreeze is in there I wouldn't do anything else to it. It'll be fine to leave just as it is.

I also have the holding tank like you in my Niagara and I get 99 percent of the waste out and the rest is on the bottem of the nine gallon tank, I personally don't see a issue with residual water.. say 1/2 gallon expanding ina 9 gallon tank. I doubt it could hurt anything to freeze.
